2015年5月1日，诺丁汉孔子学院与大学国际办公室在主校区联合举办了一场中国姓名工作坊。本次工作坊的主旨在于介绍中国学生和教育情况，并帮助大学教职员工正确拼读中文姓名，近30名大学员工参加了此次工作坊。

随着中国在世界上的影响力逐日增长，中国留学生人数的不断增加，以及诺丁汉孔院规模的日益扩大，越来越多的诺丁汉大学教职员工对汉语产生了浓厚的兴趣和迫切的需求。此次工作坊报名情况火爆，30个名额被迅速一抢而空，另有近30人只能排在等待名单中。工作坊内容分为两部分，来自大学国际办公室的孙红老师简要介绍了中国和中国学生的情况，来自孔子学院的叶李贝贝老师则教授了拼音和基本人名知识。一个半小时的工作坊节奏紧凑，笑声不断。

此次工作坊的反馈非常积极，大多数员工都表示想要更长甚至一整天的时间来了解并练习这些内容，并表达了对未来有关中国文化工作坊的种种期待。诺丁汉孔子学院将继续与国际办公室密切合作，在近期推出更多面向大学教职员工的中国文化工作坊，帮助更多员工了解中国，更好的和中国员工及学生进行交流。
Nottingham Confucius Institute Hold a Chinese Name Workshop with University International Office
Nottingham Confucius Institute hold a Chinese name workshop with University International Office on 1st May, 2015. The theme of the workshop is to help university staff better understand China and Chinese education, as well as to pronounce Chinese name correctly.
With the growth of national influence, oversea student population and the scale of Nottingham Confucius Institute, more and more University staff has a growing interest and demand of Chinese culture and language. 30 position of the workshop was booked out quickly and another 30 staff are still on the waiting list. The workshop introduces the basic information of China and Chinese education, as well as helps staff to practice Pinyin and Chinese names.
There is an excellent feedback of the workshop. Most of the staff said that they want a longer or even a whole day workshop like this. They also hope there will be more workshops on different aspects of China. Nottingham Confucius will work with International office to carry out more workshops face to the university staff in order to help them work better with Chinese staff and students.
