第三届思源杯乒乓球比赛于2015年5月10日下午在诺丁汉大学Jubilee校区体育馆举行。此次活动由诺丁汉大学思源乒乓球俱乐部与诺丁汉孔子学院合作举办，活动规模空前，吸引了来自大学和社会百余位男女老幼乒乓球爱好者参与。

本次比赛分男女两组，按淘汰赛制进行。每组的前四名选手进入半决赛，再决出胜利者进入决赛。本次活动吸引了诺丁汉当地Sycamore俱乐部的成员参加，这些英国当地的孩子们乒乓球打的有板有眼，不输中国选手，现场比赛精彩纷呈，高潮不断。男子组的决赛中，俱乐部教练Jason在先输两局的情况下愈战愈勇，最后战胜了诺丁汉校队的头号选手获得了冠军。女子组的冠军由张尚莲获得。

此次活动使诺丁汉当地市民和诺丁汉大学中英师生有了一次非常宝贵的互动机会，促进了当地中英文化的交流，传播了中国乒乓球文化，吸引了更多的英国人前来体验、了解乒乓球和汉语，取得了非常好的文化交流成果，是一次愉快而成功的赛事。

3^rd Si Yuan Cup Table Tennis competition

3^rd Si Yuan Cup Table Tennis Competition was held on 13: 00-17: 00 May 10, 2015 in Sports Centre, Jubilee Campus, University of Nottingham. The event is organized by Si Yuan Ping Pong Club (SYPC) of the University of Nottingham and Confucius Institute of the University of Nottingham. The competition attracted more than 100 table-tennis players from universities and community to participate.

The competition was divided into male and female groups, conducted by knockout. The top four players in each group entered the semi-finals, and then winners will go into the final. The event attracted the participation of members of the Sycamore club in Nottingham. These British local children played table tennis as excellent as Chinese competitors, which highlighted games continually. Jason, the coach of the club has won the final of Men’s group although he lost the first two sets with the top player of the team of University of Nottingham. The woman’s championship went to Shanglian Zhang.

The event combined local citizens of Nottingham and teachers and students in the University of Nottingham. It attracted many Britons to experience, understand Chinese and table tennis. The event proved to be a pleasant and successful event that made great cultural achievement.
