北京语言大学一行访问诺丁汉大学孔子学院

      2015年10月2日上午，北京语言大学刘伟副书记一行5人访问诺丁汉孔子学院。诺丁汉大学副校长余海岁教授、孔子学院执行院长陈健副教授、当代中国学学院副院长宋丽娜教授、亚洲商务中心高管何敏及语言中心汉语教师、孔院工作人员参与了接待。

    会上，余海岁校长介绍了诺丁汉大学的学生海外交流情况，诺大作为英国高校中中国学生在校人数最多的大学，拥有英国、中国、马来西亚三大校区，也是最早在中国设立大学校区的外国高校，与中国多所知名高等学府都建有合作。刘伟副书记介绍了北语学生中外占比各半，这在中国高校里是翘楚。全校有80多名外教，并且是汉语教学的领头羊。除了优势语言教学门类之外，还设有金融、经济、贸易等学科，学生兼有专业及语言之特长，与当代中国学学院专业设置如出一辙。陈健院长表示正因如此，借助孔子学院平台以及大学平台，两校在诸多方面如：学者互访、学生交流、汉语教师培训中心等合作项目上大有可为，尝试设立诺大-北语合作基地，为各方面合作建立长期持续发展关系提供条件。

    会后，陈健院长陪同北语一行参观了银禧校区思源楼孔子学院各办公室及会议室。短短一个半小时的会谈取得丰硕成果，双方对接下来的合作都表示出了极大的热忱，对各项合作充满期待。

Beijing Language and Culture University Visited Nottingham Confucius Institute

On October 2, 2015, Professor Liu Wei , Vice-Chancellor of the Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) and director of division of Confucius Institute development at BLCU Chen Lixia and 3 teachers visited Nottingham Confucius Institute. Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nottingham, Professor Yu Haisui met the delegation. Executive Director of the Confucius Institute, Associate Professor Chen Jian , deputy director of the Contemporary Chinese Studies, Professor Song Lina , Min Rose, senior manager of Asia Business center and Mandarin languages teachers from language center and Confucius Institute are involved in the meeting.

At the meeting, Professorl Yu Haisui introduced the overseas students’ percentage of the University and without any doubt the University of Nottingham is the one which has the largest number of Chinese students in UK. And it is the first university to set up campus in China. It has built up a very good relationship with many famous Chinese institutions. Professor Liu Wei then introduced the students’ enrolment of BLCU. BLCU has more than 50% of foreign students including undergraduates and post graduates which is a leader in Chinese colleges and universities. There are more than 80 foreign teachers and is the top university in Chinese language teaching in China. In addition to the advantages of language teaching, it also has a financial, economic, trade and other major. Students are benefited in both the language and the professional expertise. Chen Jian, Executive director of NCI indicated that is why, with the Confucius Institute platform and the University platforms, the two universities can cooperate in many aspects such as scholar visits, student exchanges, Chinese teacher training center and so on.

After the meeting, Professor Chen Jian, accompanied by the delegates from BLCU, visited the Si Yuan Centre. It was a very fruitful meeting in such one and a half hours. Both sides are very looking forward to the cooperative projects in both UK and China.
